# My changes don’t show on the website

You’ve saved a change, but the website looks the same. Work through the causes from the top.

## Common causes

### 1. Your browser is showing a saved copy

**Check:** Does the change show after a hard reload?

**What to do:** Do a hard reload with `Ctrl+Shift+R` or `Cmd+Shift+R`, or test in a private window.

### 2. The cache is showing the old page

**Check:** Do you use a cache plugin in WordPress?

**What to do:** Clear the cache in the plugin, for example **LiteSpeed Cache › Purge All**. If you use Cloudflare, clear the cache there too.

### 3. The domain still points to the old server

**Check:** Have you recently moved the website or changed nameservers?

**What to do:** Follow the troubleshooting for when the old website still shows.

### 4. The files are in the wrong folder or on another domain

**Check:** Did you change files, but nothing happens?

**What to do:** Check that you’re in the right domain’s `public_html`.

## Good to know

- Don’t run several cache plugins at once, for example WP Rocket and LiteSpeed Cache.
