# Install WordPress

Installatron in DirectAdmin sets up WordPress on your domain. You choose the domain and create an administrator, and Installatron does the rest.

## Faster: let an AI app do it

If you’ve connected Inleed to an AI app, just write what you want done, for example:

> Install WordPress on example.se

Done. WordPress is installed on example.se, and the app gives you the administrator password.

## Before you start

- The domain must be added to your hosting.

## How to install it

1. Log in to the [client area](https://login.inleed.net) and click your hosting under **Websites, email & DNS**.

DirectAdmin opens. No password is needed.

2. Open **Extra Features** in the menu and click **Installatron Applications Installer**.

3. Choose **WordPress**.

4. Click **Install Application**.

5. Choose the domain under **Domain**, preferably with `https://`, and leave **Folder** empty.

With a folder, the website ends up at `yourdomain.com/folder`.

6. Choose the language and fill in the username, password and email for the administrator.

Save the password. You log in to WordPress with it.

7. Click **Install**.

## How to know it worked

WordPress is installed. Installatron shows the address of the website and of the login.

## If something doesn’t work

### The domain isn’t in the list

**Why:** The domain hasn’t been added to your hosting.

**What to do:** Add the domain to your hosting.

### The installation says the folder isn’t empty

**Why:** Old files are still there, for example an `index.html`.

**What to do:** Remove the old files in **File Manager**.

### The website shows “Not secure”

**Why:** The SSL certificate isn’t there yet.

**What to do:** Turn on the SSL certificate.

### A plugin or theme won’t install

**Why:** Usually a PHP limit set too low or a missing PHP module, not the plugin itself.

**What to do:** Raise `memory_limit` in the PHP settings. If the plugin needs a module, turn it on under **Select PHP version**.

## Good to know

- Under **My Applications** you can see your installations and log in to WordPress from there.
