# Log in to WordPress

The dashboard is where you edit your website. If you installed WordPress with Installatron, you can get in without a password.

## How to log in

### A. Through Installatron

1. Log in to [DirectAdmin](https://inleed.com/helpcenter/log-in-to-directadmin) and open **Installatron Applications Installer**.

2. Click **My Applications**.

3. Click **login** next to the website.

   The WordPress dashboard opens in a new tab.

### B. With username and password

1. Go to your website’s address followed by `/wp-admin`, for example `yourdomain.com/wp-admin`.

2. Enter the username or email address and the password.

3. Click **Log In**.

## How to know it worked

You’re logged in to the WordPress dashboard.

## If something doesn’t work

### You’ve forgotten the password

**What to do:** Click **Lost your password?** on the login page, or change the password through Installatron.

### The login page shows the old website

**Why:** The domain still points to the old provider.

**What to do:** Change the nameservers, or test with the temporary address until the change is done.

### You can’t get in at all after several attempts

**Why:** The firewall may have blocked your IP address after a few failed attempts.

**What to do:** Whitelist your IP address.
