# Move your email from another provider

Your old folders and email can come along to your email account at Inleed. We can move it for you, or you can move it yourself.

## Faster: let an AI app do it

If you’ve connected Inleed to an AI app, just write what you want done, for example:

> Move the email from my old provider to info@example.se

Done. The email is being copied to info@example.se in the background.

## Before you start

- The email account must already exist at Inleed.  
  [Create an email account](https://inleed.com/helpcenter/create-email-account)
- Your old email must keep working until the move is done, and you need its password.

## How to move your email

### A. We move it for you

With the migration form.

1. Fill in the migration form at inleed.se/flytthjalp and tick email accounts with history.

   Without email addresses in the form, only the domain and website are moved.

   Enter the passwords in the form. Don’t send them by email.

### B. You move it yourself

With the epostflytt.se tool.

1. Go to epostflytt.se.

   The tool moves the email from server to server (IMAP).

2. Enter the old address’s server (IMAP), address and password.

3. Enter the new address at Inleed: this server `mail.inleed.com`, the address and its password.

4. Start the move.

## How to know it worked

Your old folders and email are in your email account at Inleed.

## Good to know

- If you change nameservers at the same time, new email can end up at the old provider for up to 48 hours. Check webmail at both. If you move it yourself, do one last move afterwards.
- DirectAdmin and webmail have no feature for importing old email.
