# Move a WordPress site to Inleed

Move your WordPress site from another provider to Inleed. We can do it for you, or you can do it yourself.

## How to move it

### A. We move it for you

Free when you order a new hosting plan.

**Important:** First check that your WordPress login works and that no security plugin blocks it. Otherwise the move can’t go ahead.

1. Fill in the migration form at [inleed.se/flytthjalp](https://inleed.se/flytthjalp) with the website address and the login for your current provider.

   Don’t email the login.

**Important:** Don’t cancel your old provider until everything works with us.

2. Wait while we move the files, database and email.

   We’ll get in touch when it’s done.

3. [Change the nameservers](https://inleed.com/helpcenter/change-nameservers) once we’ve been in touch.

### B. You move it yourself

1. [Add the domain](https://inleed.com/helpcenter/connect-domain-to-hosting) to your hosting.

2. [Upload the files](https://inleed.com/helpcenter/upload-website-files) to your hosting.

3. Import the database through **phpMyAdmin**.

4. Change the database details in `wp-config.php`.

5. [Test the website with a temporary address](https://inleed.com/helpcenter/test-with-temporary-url) before you change the nameservers.

6. [Change the nameservers](https://inleed.com/helpcenter/change-nameservers) when everything works.

## How to know it worked

The website is at Inleed.

**Waiting time:** The nameserver change can take up to 48 hours. Meanwhile new email can end up at your old provider or at Inleed, so keep an eye on both webmails.

## Good to know

- From wordpress.com, only original images come across in full, not JetPack forms.
- You can also move the site with a plugin, for example All-in-One WP Migration.
