# Upgrade your hosting plan

Upgrade when your hosting needs more space or performance. You choose the plan in the client area and pay the difference for the time that remains.

## Faster: let an AI app do it

If you’ve connected Inleed to an AI app, just write what you want done, for example:

> Upgrade the hosting for example.se to the next plan

The app gets the price and prepares the upgrade. You approve it in the client area.

## Before you start

- Any unpaid invoices must be paid or voided before you can upgrade.

## How to upgrade

1. Log in to the [client area](https://login.inleed.net), go to **Upgrades** and click **Show upgrades** next to your hosting.

2. Choose the new plan.

   The summary shows what changes.

**Important:** Your hosting moves to a new server and gets a new IP address. If a domain points here with an A record at another provider, you need to change it.

3. Click **Upgrade plan**.

   You pay the difference for the time left in the period.

## How to know it worked

The upgrade is carried out once the payment has arrived.

**Waiting time:** The move to the new server means about 60 minutes of downtime.

## Good to know

- Your billing period doesn’t change when you upgrade.
- A change from Standard or Special to Prime is approved by email first.
- Set `mail.inleed.com` as the server in your email apps after the move.
