# Verify your new domain with BankID

New .se and .nu domains are verified with BankID after payment. Until that’s done, the domain shows as available and doesn’t start working.

## Before you start

- Pay for the domain first. Verification comes after payment.
- The person the domain is registered to must sign with their BankID.

## How to verify

1. Log in to the [client area](https://login.inleed.net) and click **Verifiera med BankID** next to the domain.

   Domains waiting for verification are shown at the top under **Services**.

2. Sign with BankID.

## How to know it worked

The domain is activated about 1–2 hours after you sign.

**Waiting time:** Full function worldwide can take up to 48 hours.

## If something doesn’t work

### The domain still shows as available

**Why:** The verification isn’t finished.

**What to do:** Sign with BankID if you haven’t already, then wait.

### Someone else signed

**Why:** The person the domain is registered to must sign, not the person who pays.

**What to do:** Have the person the domain is registered to sign.

### I don’t have Swedish BankID

**What to do:** Ask [support](mailto:support@inleed.se) for manual verification. It costs SEK 19 plus VAT per domain, a one-time fee.

## Good to know

- A paid domain that hasn’t been verified waits until someone verifies it.
- Your billing profile decides whether the domain is registered to you or to your company, and how BankID signing works.
