# View your website’s error log

The error log shows exactly which error your website gives, and in which file. Open it when a page shows a server error or is completely blank.

## How to view it

1. Log in to [DirectAdmin](https://inleed.com/helpcenter/log-in-to-directadmin) and open **Site summary & logs**.

2. Click **Error log** next to the domain.

3. Reload the page that gives the error.

4. Look at the bottom of the log.

The line shows the file, the line number and the error.

## How to know it worked

You can see which error the website gives and where.

## Good to know

- If the path contains `wp-content/plugins/`, a WordPress plugin is probably causing the error.

- Support doesn’t help with WordPress plugins and themes, only with the server and your account.
