My domain transfer isn’t going through

When a domain transfer to Inleed isn’t going through, it’s usually the transfer code, a transfer lock, or the transfer taking time. Start with the cause at the top.

Right guide?

Want to start a transfer? Transfer a domain to Inleed

Common causes

1The transfer code is rejected

Check

Does the code have a typo, is it too old, or has it been replaced at the current provider?

What to do

Copy the code again, or ask the current provider for a new one. Paste it into the Domain transfer-code field in the client area.

2The domain is locked

Check

Has the current provider locked the domain against transfer?

What to do

Unlock the domain at the provider and start the transfer again.

3The transfer of a .com or other international domain isn’t finished

Check

These transfers take 5–7 days. If nobody does anything, the transfer goes through on its own after about 5 days.

What to do

If you’ve received an email about the transfer from the current provider, approve it there and it goes faster. If more than a week has passed, contact support.

4It’s a .co.uk domain

Check

A .co.uk domain is transferred with a tag instead of a transfer code.

What to do

Set the tag KEY-SYSTEMS-DE at the current provider. Then reply jag bekräftar to the email from Inleed.

Good to know

  • The nameservers aren’t changed by the transfer and can’t be changed while it’s in progress. Change them once the domain has arrived.
