Move WordPress to another domain

With Installatron you copy the website to another domain, for example from a development address to your real domain. The original is not affected.

Before you start

Log in to DirectAdmin, open Installatron and click My Applications.

Click Clone next to the website.

Choose the new domain with https and leave the folder field empty.
That puts the website directly on the domain.

Click Clone.

Create an SSL certificate for the new domain, if it doesn’t have one yet.

The website is on the new domain. The original is untouched.

Should the old address send visitors on? Redirect the old domain once you have checked the new one. Redirect a domain to another address
Installatron never overwrites an existing installation. If something is already on the new domain, remove it first.
