How to order
- 1
Log in to the client area, go to the store and click One-time services.
This is where you find services with a fixed one-time fee, such as Remote Hands.
- 2
Choose Remote Hands and complete the order.
- 3
Email support and describe what needs doing.
For example a physical reboot, cabling, photos or a status check.
How to know it worked
Done
Remote Hands is ordered and support knows what needs doing.
If something doesn’t work
The link or iDRAC keeps going down and up
Why: Usually a loose cable, a faulty SFP module or a worn transceiver.
What to do: Order Remote Hands and ask support to check the cable and the module.
iDRAC doesn’t respond, but the server is running
Why: iDRAC is separate from the server and can be down while the server runs.
What to do: Reach the server by a backup route, such as JetKVM or a redundant link.
Good to know
- Remote Hands can’t always be done the same day.
