Change your broadband speed
You change your broadband speed yourself in the client area, both to a higher and a lower one. When you upgrade, you choose when it applies.
Before you start
- Don’t order a new subscription to change speed. That adds a start fee.
How to change it
- 1
Log in to the client area, go to Upgrades and click Show upgrades next to your broadband.
The options for your broadband are shown.
- 2
Choose the new speed.
- 3
If you’re upgrading, choose whether the change applies from the next renewal or straight away.
Straight away, you pay the difference for the rest of the period.
- 4
Confirm the change.
A downgrade applies as soon as you confirm.
- 5
Restart the fibre box and the router once the new speed applies.
Otherwise you may keep the old speed.
How to know it worked
Done
Your broadband has the new speed and the new price.
If something doesn’t work
I’m not getting the new speed
Why: The fibre box and router haven’t been restarted, or the old subscription is still active.
What to do: Restart the fibre box and the router. Measure with a cable directly in the fibre box. If it is still wrong, email support.
