How to know it worked
Done
The domain has SPF, DKIM and DMARC.
Waiting time
Changes usually apply within minutes, sometimes only after an hour.
If something doesn’t work
There are two SPF records
Why: Two SPF records make both count as wrong.
What to do: Merge them into one with all the include parts, and delete the other.
It says “Enable DKIM” but nothing happens
Why: The domain’s DNS is with another provider.
What to do: Copy the DKIM record from DNS Management in DirectAdmin and add it at the provider.
Good to know
- SPF says which servers may send email from your domain. DKIM is a digital signature showing the email hasn’t changed on the way. DMARC tells the recipient what to do with email that fails SPF or DKIM.
