Change your DirectAdmin password
You change your DirectAdmin password in the client area, even if you’ve forgotten the old one. The same password is used for SSH and SFTP.

How to change it

Log in to the client area and click Manage next to your hosting.
Your hosting’s page opens.

Open the DirectAdmin tab.

Enter a new password in the Password field.

Click Save changes.

The new password works right away.
Good to know
- The DirectAdmin password is separate from the client area password. You log in to DirectAdmin straight from the client area without a password. Log in to DirectAdmin
- The same password is used for SSH and SFTP.
- The password can’t be shown afterwards, only changed.
