Move a domain between two hosting plans
The same domain can’t be on two Inleed hosting plans at once. You remove it from the old plan, add it to the new one and move the content.

Before you start
- The website and email on the domain don’t work while you move it.
How to move it
- 1
Download a copy of the website and the database from the old hosting plan.
Important
Make the copy first. What is stored under the domain on the old hosting plan can disappear when the domain is removed.

Remove the domain from the old hosting plan in DirectAdmin, or rename it.
Only then can you add it to the new one.

Add the domain to the new hosting plan.

Upload the files and the database to the new hosting plan.

Done
The domain, the website and the database are on the new hosting plan.
Good to know
- Would you rather we did the move? Contact support. The work is charged by the hour.
- FTP accounts don’t come along. Create them again on the new hosting plan.
